Dedicated in loving memory of Krishna

It is with much sadness and regret that we announce the death of Dr. Krishna Kumpeson, who passed away on the 6th of December 2023 at the age of 91, at his home in Surbiton, England. He was born on the 15th of February, 1932 at Thambachetty, Point Pedro, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Krishna was the loving son of the late C. Krishnapillai and late Sivapackiam. Brother to  Amirthavally, Mahendran, and Mandaleson and the late Manimehalai, Kannagai, Ponnammah. He was the beloved husband of Nithylakshmi, father to Umi and Vasuki, and grandfather to Billy, Luke and Eva. 

Krishna attended Hartley College, Point Pedro and Jaffna Central College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He went onto to attain an MBBS degree from Ceylon University, Colombo in 1956. Krishna performed his internship at Jaffna Hospital and subsequently worked at Anuradhapura, Hambantota, Veyangoda, DMH in Colombo and Kurunegale before moving to Zambia, practicing as an Ear/Nose/Throat surgeon and Obstetrician. Then in 1976 he moved with his family and spent the remainder of his life in various parts of the UK where he retrained and practiced as a psychiatrist.                                          
Krishna had an avid passion for cars, style , cricket , tennis and in his youth surfing and horseriding in addiition to classic film from both the east and west. 

Krishna was much loved and will always be remembered. WE love you x
